I had a mixed experience at this resort spa. The initial hiccup with the room messed with our arrival, but the views and the meal we enjoyed later made our stay memorable. Unfortunately, another guest had a wedding-related ordeal that highlighted some serious service shortcomings. The setting holds great potential, yet it's let down by inconsistencies, especially in room quality and service reliability.

Rooms
7.0
We found the room we ended up in to be good, but it didn't match the view from the first room we were shown. It was comfortable, but had some issues like a missing shower head. I'd rate the room a 7 for its comfort and view.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were lovely and accommodating, the reception experience left much to be desired, particularly for the wedding party. It felt like there was a lack of attention to our specific needs. I'd rate the service a 5.
Location
9.0
The location offers stunning views and is surrounded by beautiful scenery, which definitely adds to the overall appeal. I'd rate the location a solid 9.
Dining
7.0
We had a six-course degustation meal, which was delightful, but it was on the pricey side. The dining experience itself was good, but not extraordinary, so I'd rate it a 7.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities seem to have potential, but they truly need some updates and maintenance. Based on what I experienced, I'd give it a 6.

My experience at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. While the views were stunning and my room was clean and comfortable, the service felt quite clumsy and unprofessional at times. The dining experience was solid with good food, but it could have been better executed. Overall, I left feeling a bit disappointed considering the price for a boutique experience.

Rooms
7.0
The room was clean and had a comfortable king-sized bed, with a lovely little balcony. However, the view was slightly blocked by ongoing construction in the area.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly, but they struggled with professionalism, which dampened the experience a bit.
Location
8.0
Situated in a beautiful area with fantastic views, the location was a highlight, though the construction site nearby was a drawback.
Dining
7.0
Dinner was enjoyable with great views, but the service lacked the finesse one would expect in that setting, making the experience feel a bit rushed.
Facilities
5.0
The pool area could use some improvements; it didn't look very welcoming with dirty grouting and maintenance issues.

I had a rather disappointing experience at this hotel. While the rooms had a nice view, the overall decor felt very dated and certain amenities didn't work when needed. The service when dealing with issues was lacking, and I left feeling that it wasn't worth the price I paid.

Rooms
5.0
The room had a lovely view, but the decor was quite outdated and the carpets were stained, which was off-putting.
Service
5.0
The service was lacking, especially during a blackout when the staff seemed indifferent to the inconvenience caused by the non-functioning backup generator.
Location
7.0
The scenery around the hotel was nice, which was one of the positive aspects of my stay.
Dining
5.0
Dining was a letdown with food that was hardly edible, and service did not improve the situation.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were inadequate, particularly during the power outage when many could not be used.

Our stay at the resort was a mixed bag. The views during the drive were stunning, and the room was modern and comfortable. However, the dining experience was frustrating, with slow service and overpriced meals. The facilities had potential, especially the spa area, but overall, it felt like the resort needed a refresh to match its high prices.

Rooms
9.0
The room was spacious, clean, and featured a comfortable bed with a modern bathroom. We also enjoyed a lovely view from the balcony.
Service
5.0
The service was casual and friendly but lacked professionalism and efficiency; we had to figure out the dining arrangements without much guidance.
Location
8.0
The resort is situated in a beautiful area with impressive views, although getting from the room to the amenities was a bit convoluted.
Dining
5.0
Dining was disappointing; the meals were not worth the high prices and lacked quality, plus the service was very slow.
Facilities
6.0
The spa area was a highlight, but the dining facilities felt cramped and outdated.

While the hotel has a charming location and beautiful views, it is in need of significant maintenance and updates. The spacious rooms were comfortable, but the dining experience did not live up to expectations. Overall, if you're looking for a unique experience, this might still be worth considering.

Rooms

The room was large and spacious with a beautiful bathroom and a comfortable king bed, offering great views.
Service
7.0
The service was generally good, but the dining experience fell short of the five-star expectations set by the restaurant's reputation.
Location

The hotel is nestled in a stunning rainforest setting with fantastic views from the rooms that add to its charm.
Dining
5.0
Sadly, the dinner was disappointing and did not match the previous experiences I had heard about.
Facilities

The public areas need a lot of upkeep, including worn-out carpets and dated furniture.
